چکیده
The increasing number of low-frequency oscillation events has posed significant challenges to power system stability. It is imperative accurately identify and properly control generators with poor or negative damping contribution for better damping. This paper proposes a hybrid energy mode decomposition-based method evaluating in multi-machine systems. derived that the aggregate electric torque can be modeled as superposition torques different modes. In each mode, decomposed into synchronizing torque. Moreover, novel function developed evaluate generators' effect mode. result proves attenuated energies have effects. Simulation results single multinegative cases, well comparison other methods, demonstrate effectiveness robustness proposed evaluation.

A Robust FACTS Damping Controller Design to Mitigate Interarea Oscillations in a Multi-machine Power System
In this paper, damping of interarea oscillations using simultaneous coordination of static Var compensator (SVC) and power system stabilizer (PSS) is considered. To be effective in damping of oscillations, the best-input signal of power oscillation damper (POD) associated with SVC is selected using Hankel singular values (HSVs), and right-hand plane zeros (RHP-zeros). The 4-machine-2 area...

متن کاملA new energy-based method for evaluating the damping properties of cable-damper systems
External dampers and cross-ties are commonly used to control vibrations of stay cables on cable-stayed bridges. While dampers contribute directly to the structural damping of the attached cables, cross-ties mainly help to increase the stiffness of the connected cable system. The idea of incorporating cross-ties with dampers has also been attempted in a few recent applications to benefit from th...
متن کاملA Fault Diagnosis Method for Automaton based on Morphological Component Analysis and Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition
In the fault diagnosis of automaton, the vibration signal presents non-stationary and non-periodic, which make it difficult to extract the fault features. To solve this problem, an automaton fault diagnosis method based on morphological component analysis (MCA) and ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) was proposed. Based on the advantages of the morphological component analysis method i...
